Our platform is built for individuals who want full control over their financial journey. They get access to a wide range of products, along with intuitive tools and clear, unbiased information so they can feel confident in making their own investment decisions.

With Octopus Money clients have peace of mind knowing their investments reflect their own goals, no jargon, no pressure, just straightforward support to help own their financial choices.

What we offer Third-Party providers  – Everything you need, all in one place

These sections walk you through how to request your client’s information and how to make sense of the documents you’ll receive.

We’ve kept things simple and jargon-free, so you can get the answers you need without the guesswork. You should find the answer to all of your questions on this page.

Letter of Authority

Before we can share any client information, we’ll just need a signed Letter of Authority (we accept DocuSign or scanned wet signatures). Once we have that, we can get things moving. This can be your version of the letter, no need to request from ourselves.

If any of your details change, like your company name or address, we’ll need a new signed Letter of Authority for each client before we can send any information. It’s just to make sure everything stays safe and up to date. Once completed, please send your Letter of Authority, and any information requests by email to: Octopus Money Support

Transfers to Octopus Money

All instructions to transfer need to come directly from the client via the portal if they are Execution Only. If they are an advised client they will need to arrange the transfer via their Adviser or Financial Coach. If the new provider is not supported by ATG/Origo, the client will sometimes need to obtain discharge forms from the provider if transferring a pension and complete before sending to us to process.

How long will a transfer take to complete?

We expect a transfer to take between 2 to 8 weeks. Electronic transfers are typically completed quicker than a post/email request.

Timescales are not exact because it depends on:

  • The type of account (pensions typically take much longer to process so please factor this into your timelines)
  • The number and type of investments it holds
  • The current provider

No transfer fees from us

It’s completely free to transfer to Octopus Money. We won’t charge a penny. But it’s a good idea for your client to check with their current provider first, just to make sure they won’t lose any valuable benefits or guarantees before getting started.

Transfer to another provider

If your client wants to transfer out of Octopus Money, they usually won’t need to get in touch with us. They can simply fill out an application with their new provider, and the provider will contact us to take care of the rest.

Transfer requests should be submitted by the new provider via Origo or ATG (Equisoft) to Seccl Custody Limited. Seccl are our custodian who process our transfers. Any scanned transfer out requests should be sent to support@seccl.tech.

There is no charge to transfer out of Octopus Money, the current value of your client’s account will be the transfer amount.

We do not facilitate partial transfers out of ISA but we do for Pension.
